The Quick and Easy Way to
Protect Your Documents
For many people the greatest
restrictions to backing up their documents has been the limited capacity
of a floppy disk. Files have got bigger in size but not the humble
Floppy. Many pictures and documents just don't fit.
With the improvements and cost
reductions in CD Writers there is almost no reason why every home can't
afford this excellent backup tool.
A standard CD can hold up to 700
megabytes of information (thats big).
But what is a CD Writer (or burner)?
Basically it is a tool that acts like a CD Player but can also put
information onto a special 'writeable CD'. It acts like a Very Big
Floppy.
BUT - you can't rub out so it slowly 'eats away at the pie' as you write
files to the CD.
Some CD's are what is call rewritable
which means they can be totally erased and reused.
